For me, filmmaking is not just a creative pursuit. It is a way to build connections, challenge perspectives and engage with the world. Art is how I make sense of life and contribute to something larger than myself. Through this MFA, made possible by the Minerva Scholarship, I aim to push my craft further, become part of a broader artistic community, and create films that reflect the complexity and urgency of our times. Bridget Quinn reminds us in her book Broad Strokes, “the work of women in art is ongoing.” I am ready to take my place in that ongoing story.
