My position as a Performing Arts teacher at Gig Harbor High School was reclassified requiring me to obtain an additional certification. Not only was this unexpected, the timeline for meeting the new requirement was quite short. Without this scholarship, the cost of the certification process would have posed a significant challenge. This scholarship will enable me to remain in the classroom, doing meaningful work which I love with students through the performing arts. I am truly grateful for the opportunity and the continued support of my professional growth.
